I’m a Cambridge CELTA-certified native-level English teacher with an M.A. in TESOL from the American University in Cairo.
About Me
Linguistic Background
I grew up in the United States from the age of 6 to 18, so I have native-level English fluency and speak with a fluent American accent. I lived in Worcester, Massachusetts, and West Haven, Connecticut. I later completed a Master’s degree in Chicago, where I lived for two years. English is my primary language, but I also speak Bahasa Indonesia fluently and Arabic at an intermediate level.
Professional Qualifications
I have a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (M.A. TESOL) from the American University in Cairo and the Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA). I also have an 8.5 on the IELTS. My other educational degrees include an M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor’s in Management from Institut Teknologi Bandung.
Hobbies & Interests
I enjoy traveling, photography, and learning languages. I have a broad range of interests, from music, cinema, and sports to business and finance, as well as philosophy, history, and geopolitics.
